We are all prayerfully concerned regarding the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. As of this time, 3/23/2020, there are no known or presumptive cases of the virus in Limestone County.
Our Church has canceled all services for March 22 and March 29. It is possible that services may be canceled beyond those dates. In the meanwhile, Pastor Chuck is putting up our weekly messages for all to access at two locations:
You-tube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUG49AkhTkcPmu75l0yJJrg or you can search for "Journey of Faith Coolidge Texas" and you should find it.
Facebook Page for our Church: https://www.facebook.com/FIrstBaptistCoolidge/ or search for FBC Coolisdge TX and you should find it.
Pastor Chuck will continue to post updates on our response as a church to the Virus Crisis and how we can do our part to help cease the spread of the virus in our area. Stay in touch with your fellow church members.
For Church Members: We are collecting offerings in two primary ways. You can call one of our Deacons, place your offering in an envelope, and they will be happy to pick it up and make sure it confidentially reaches our Treasurer for normal processing. Or, you can always drop a check in the mail to our address which is: FBC Coolidge, PO Box 189. Coolidge, TX. 76635 Pastor Chuck will pick up our mail each Monday and any offerings received will go straight to our Treasurer for confidential processing as normal. Thank you for your continued obedience to God in your giving, especially in this time of great need in our community. Also, remember our special offerings, the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions, and our Building Repair Fund which is going to do all the repairs we need inside our facility. Thank you for being a people in love with their God, and in love with each other as we work together to get through this crisis.
As we prepare for our Easter Celebration, here are the special services we have planned.
We are planning to have a Good Friday Candlelight Lord's Supper service April 10th at 6:00 PM. In that service we will have a time of prayer, devotion, singing, and then ending with the Lord's Supper as we conclude. This is a special time where we set aside all of our business to take time to personally remember the cost of our forgiveness of sin. We invite you to come and join with us.
Easter Sunday Morning we have scheduled a Sunrise Service Sunday morning at 7:00 AM at the city park across from our church. The other churches of our community will be joining with us. In this service we will have a Chronological reading of the Resurrection Appearances of Jesus following His Resurrection. We will sing songs of Easter Joy. Following the service, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall of our Methodist church friends for a light breakfast. Bring some light items or juices to share.
Our Easter morning services will follow our normal schedule. Our evening services are canceled for a Family Home Evening to celebrate Easter in our homes.
We hope you will feel invited to attend each of these wonderful Easter opportunities.
